Please stay tuned!   VCC Member Pitch and Networking Event Thursday 19th March 2020 5:00-7:30pm Deloitte, Level 10, 550 Bourke Street Melbourne    Join the VCC for its first event of 2020 and pitch your business to a room full of industry experts, investors and VCC members.   VCC members will get the chance to spruik their unique value-add to the cleantech sector in a series of 3-minute pitch presentations with 2 minutes of Q&A. The session will close with a lightning round of 30-second pitches.   This event is a great opportunity to meet and network with funders and founders of cleantech companies and build stronger relationships with VCC members and industry. Are you an investor? Join the VCC pitch night to see what Victorian cleantech businesses have to offer?   VCC Members To have the opportunity to pitch your business in the 3-minute pitch round, please submit an EOI here by Monday 2nd March   Members whose business operations are already established and looking to scale-up are encouraged to submit an EOI for consideration. For start-ups and emerging technologies, be part of the lightning round to make sure your business doesn’t miss the chance to be in the spotlight.   The Victorian Cleantech Cluster Board will review all EOIs and make the final decision on who will pitch during this event. He has a background and qualifications in environmental and earth sciences. He has worked on assignments in Australia and NZ, and also in parts of Asia, the Pacific and Africa. Nigel is a Founder and Director of Earth Systems an environmental consulting and technology company that was formed in Melbourne in 1993. He served as Vice President of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand Inc (EIANZ) Victorian Division in 2000 - 2001, and was on EIANZ Council for almost nine years from 2001 until 2010.   CAITLIN HARVEY Senior Advisor, RnD360 Advisory Group Caitlin is passionate about helping innovators leverage R&D tax incentives to develop their IP to its full potential. Over five years at KPMG, in Melbourne and London, Caitlin worked across many industries – engineering, construction, chemicals, fast-moving consumer goods, banking and biotechnology – and assisted global companies to access R&D incentives in multiple jurisdictions. Previously, as a Senior Market Analyst, she facilitated commercialisation of CSIRO’s emerging technology pipeline.   ALEXANDER PAYKIN Founder and Director, RnD360 Advisory Group For over twenty years, Alex was an R&D engineer and project manager in the electronics, software and telecommunications industries. Since 2006, he has specialised as an R&D incentives adviser with KPMG and PwC, working in Australia and Singapore across diverse industries including  ICT, electrical, semiconductors, gaming, logistics, chemical, mechanical engineering, automotive, manufacturing and agriculture. Alex leverages his extensive network to help clients achieve their goals.   RON MACK Commercialisation Adviser, AusIndustry Ron Mack has run a successful management consulting practice for 30 years, delivering a broad range of services to public and private sector organisations throughout Australia and overseas. His core skills are in business strategy, market research and technology commercialisation. He has also held interim CEO and directorship positions with technology start-ups, private and public companies, particularly in the food, agribusiness, electronics, engineering and manufacturing sectors. His most recent role was as Technology and Innovation Adviser with the CSIRO, where he provided specialist advice on technological innovation for Australian small to medium enterprises. He has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics.   JOANNE SAMMUT Senior Advisor, RnD360 Advisory Group Joanne has over 12 years’ experience in ‘Big Four’ firms, with over 6 years working in R&D Tax Incentives.  Joanne has worked with businesses of all sizes across a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, agriculture, engineering, construction, biotechnology and IT.  She has also had experience in assisting clients with EMDG submissions to support the development of their businesses overseas, as well as other tax technical submissions to the ATO.   MARK PRENTICE Founder and Partner, RnD360 Advisory Group Mark began his career in the electronics industry, fulfilling R&D roles in Australia and Canada. He subsequently became a Partner at Arthur Hiess and Associates in Vancouver and has since spent more than 25 years assisting clients to access R&D incentives in Canada, Singapore, China and Australia. Mark spent 16 years in KPMG’s R&D tax incentive team, including a decade as a Partner. Prior to founding RnD360 with his partners, he was Special Counsel at PwC. Mark is a registered tax agent.
